3 days to my due date!!!
I have an option to get induced on the 11th para 12 daw bday ng baby ko. or get an ultrasound on the 12th and check kung kelangan na ba induce or kelangan i-CS or ok to wait.
I'm probably gonna get an ultrasound on the 11th na lang and then maybe get induced pagka kuha ng result. I dunno!
I'm kinda nervous na eh hehehe!
My Doctor kanina was telling me pa "Matapang ka naman dba?" ahahahhaah! lalo ako natakot tuloy :P
Her concern daw kasi is that malaki daw ata si baby. coz my tummy's a bit big eh. like 2 inches bigger than normal ata, pero sabi niya since mataas pa tummy ko she might be wrong naman daw, baka ok lang laki ng baby.
I don't wanna be CS, sana normal. kakayanin talaga haha. pray for me guys. lol! :P
before we picked LasPinasDoctors kung san ako manganganak but ininsist ng doctor ko na sa MCM ba o MMC?! hahaha lol i forgot, basta yung hospital sa harap daw ng Muntinlupa na munisipyo, coz complete daw dun sa gadgets and dami siya help from trainees na OB, and hindi sila basta basta nagCCS dun. plus mas mura daw.
haaay. I can't wait to give birth pero kinakabahan pa rin! :P mixed feelings haha!

giving up sweets.
it's been awhile since i posted here.
coz the internet connection here in my room is just wack. but i fixed it already. had to take out the computer table though. so now my computer is on the floor and I'm here on my bed typing this haha! pangtamad!
so what's been happening?
well, I'm gonna be tested for gestational diabetes next week. I had a Glucose Challenge a week ago and they found sugar in my blood so now they're recommending that I do OGTT. I forgot what that stands for (Oral Glucose Test something), it's when they get blood from me then make me drink this glucose orange thing and take blood again every hour. i think that test would last for 3-4 hours and i'm not also allowed to eat 8 hours before the test! It's gonna be one hell of a hungry day for me! bwahaha!
I hope I don't have gestational diabetes. I've been cutting down on sweets and rice and bread lately. i hope my diet will be worthit haha. it's hard to give up sweets (eventhough before this pregnancy I'm really not into cakes and icecreams), sometimes I even dream of eating sweets!! haha!
other than the possibility of me having gestational diabetes, everything's in check. the baby's normal. normal size, etc. and did I mention before that I had UTI but it's all gone now as well.

Boy daw?
yesterday i was at festival. My mum had a haircut and haircolor so I walked around the mall alone waiting for her to finish.
Two Strangers told me that My baby's going to be a BOY! ;-)
One was a gay salesman in one of the appliances shops.
And another was an old guy sa coffeeshop.
They both just Said "Lalake yan." out of nowhere! Hehe!
I dunno if they're a reliable source haha! but I don't care. i love it when people make conversation about my pregnancy. :D

hectic day!
not only did i make dessert today.. but..
I washed my clothes. (yes, my mum taught me how to wash my own clothes na, but using the washing machine. haha!)
walked sa village to find fruits for my mum (but I didn't find any).
cleaned and refilled my water bottles.
That's a lot for me to do already since all I do is eat and sleep! Haha!
I felt that my day should be active and I shouldn't be just watching tv and eating!
I might have a hard time giving birth if I don't have enough exercise.
I hope tomorrow I'll still be active haha!
I think we're going to the mall tomorrow!
Yey!! Exercise for me :P

Pregnancy and Rheumatic Heart Disease
I'm suddenly scared with pregnancy because I had Rheumatic Heart Disease when I was a kid. And It says it some article I read that A person who was diagnosed of this sickness should be given antibiotics every month for possibly the rest of his/her life. and I only had mine for 5 years. and we never came back to the doctor to check if that was enough.
Anyway.. Read this Article about Rheumatic Heart Disease.
What is rheumatic heart disease?
Rheumatic heart disease is a condition in which the heart valves (flap-like structures which prevent the blood from flowing backwards) are damaged by a disease process that begins with a throat infection caused by the streptococcal bacteria. If not treated this throat infection leads to rheumatic fever, repeated episodes of which may cause rheumatic heart disease.
Rheumatic fever is an inflammatory disease that affects the connective tissues of the body-especially those of the heart, the joints, the brain or the skin. When rheumatic fever permanently damages the heart, the condition is called rheumatic heart disease.
People of all ages can suffer from acute rheumatic fever, but it usually occurs in children five to fifteen years old.
What are the symptoms of rheumatic fever?
They are:
# Fever
# Swollen, tender, red and painful joints-particularly the knees, ankles, elbows, or wrists
# Nodules or lumps over swollen joints
# Uncontrolled movements of arms, legs, or muscles of the face
# Weakness and shortness of breath.
What are the symptoms of rheumatic heart disease?
The symptoms may vary from person to person. Some people face no problems for years, while others may feel mild discomfort throughout their lives. Eventually damaged and scarred heart valves can cause serious and disabling problems. These problems depend on the severity of the damage and on which heart valve is affected. Abnormalities of valves on the left side of the heart (the mitral and the aortic valves) usually cause symptoms earlier than abnormalities on the right side (the tricuspid and the pulmonary valves).
The heart becomes overactive during vigorous work or play, or during emotional excitement. Dizziness or fainting during exertion, shortness of breath, fatigue and palpitations are the other symptoms.
What happens when a heart valve is damaged?
A damaged heart valve either does not completely close (insufficiency) or does not completely open (stenosis).
A heart valve that does not close properly, allows blood leak back into the chamber from which it was pumped. This is called regurgitation or leakage. With the next heartbeat, this blood flows through the valve and mixes with blood that flows normally. This extra volume of blood passing through the heart puts added strain to the heart muscle.
When a heart valve doesnt open enough, the heart must pump harder than the normal to force blood through the narrowed opening. Usually there are no symptoms of this until the opening becomes very narrow.
How is it diagnosed?
A chest X-ray and an electrocardiogram are two tests commonly used to determine if the heart has been affected.
Echocardiography is a technique that sends sound waves into the chest to rebound from the hearts valves and walls. The recorded waves show the shape, texture and movement of the valves. It also shows the size and functioning of the heart chambers. This technique doesnt hurt or pose a risk to patient.
What is the treatment?
The doctor determines the specific treatment based on the overall health, medical history, and the extent of the disease.
Since rheumatic fever is the cause of the heart disease, the best treatment is to prevent rheumatic fever from occurring. Penicillin and other antibiotics can usually treat strep throat (a streptococcus A bacteria infection). Patients who have previously suffered from rheumatic fever are often given continuous (daily or monthly) antibiotic treatments, possibly for life, to prevent future attacks of rheumatic fever and lower the risk of heart damage.
In severe cases of heart valve damage, valve replacement surgery may be recommended. In such a surgery the damaged heart valve is replaced with an artificial valve made of metal or plastic, or with a specially prepared valve from an animal such as pig. Most patients improve markedly after the replacement surgery.
How can it be prevented?
The best prevention against rheumatic heart disease is to prevent rheumatic fever. This can usually be accomplished by prompt and adequate treatment of throat infection. If rheumatic fever develops, continuous antibiotic treatment may be needed to prevent further attacks.

Cleaning time :)
My sweetie's in Batangas.
So since I've got nuthng to do while he's there, I cleaned! lol
I cleaned ALL my flipflops. And then My Bathroom. I even scrubbed the tiles so it'll be sparkling clean! Haha! it's not yet done though, I'll finish later.
Is my sudden urge to clean an effect of my pregnancy or is it coz I've got nuthng better to do? Bwahaha!
Coz normally I AM SO LAZY. I never clean my bedroom or my bathroom, I just wait til my mum cleans it. but now.. I CLEANED! without anyone telling me to do so.
plus I was wearing my swimsuit pa when I cleaned. Oha! hehe

the improved me.
It's sunday. And later this afternoon, I'll be hearing mass with my sweetie.
For the people who know my family and I personally, It's kinda surprising that I would hear mass.
And if I tell you I've been praying before I go to bed for a month now. Would you believe me?
Hehe! coz It's true. :-)
And to think I have never really prayed constantly before even when I was a kid. Maybe except for the rosary that my lola insists that we pray every night which I would try to get out of by pretending to be asleep.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm not all religious now, and I'm not gonna preach or anything like that. I just decided to make God the center of my life.. and maybe make it easier for me to go on with life now that I'll be having a baby. It's nice to know that someone has my back, u know :)
Well, I've got my sweetie to thank for the improved me :-)
